QueueMetrics news / Our fax is dead
« on: May 21, 2007, 19:00:13 »
It seems like the main HP fax at Loway office is flat dead since this morning.

For the moment, if you need to contact us, we suggest using a PDF  attachment to an email until a  replacement arrives.

Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

Running QueueMetrics / Re: problem logging in queuemetrics
« on: May 19, 2007, 14:11:58 »
Hello there,
you seem to have a problem with your servlet container (like you did not install Queuemetrics right under the root) OR your file WEB-INF/web.xml is invalid. My suggestion is you delete it, download it again and try starting it without changing anything; once it starts up, you try changing the web.xml to define your DB connection. You tried restarting the servlet container, didn't you?

... if you add USRADMIN to his class you basically give him access to all users in your system. Can it be done some other way? I couldn't find any relevant security key in QM manual. If it's not possible maybe you can add this to existing "wish list".  :)

I know it's not a big deal but it would be nice to have.

Thanks.

This feature has been added to the next release of QueueMetrics, version 1.4.0.  ;D

In this case you should send us the logs, as explained in: http://astrecipes.net/index.php?q=astrecipes/queuemetrics+logs

QueueMetrics news / QueueMetrics 1.3.5 released today
« on: May 11, 2007, 20:10:52 »
Today we release QueueMetrics 1.3.5. This is a minor upgrade adding a couple of new features that migh be handy in some setups: sound playing for yellow/red alarms and extended XML-RPC interface for realtime and authentication services.

This release adds a bit of functionality, and notably:
- New XML-RPC interface makes it possible to access realtime screen data.
- New XML-RPC interface makes it possible to use QueueMetrics as an authentication server for thir-party software.
- Playing custom sounds on yellow and red alarm conditions for realtime and wallboard views. (#98)
- It is possible to disable the alarms on waiting time for calls that are currently ongoing. (#98r)

You can download the latest version immediately from the downloads page,. As an alternative, if you run RHEL/CentOS/TrixBox/AAH, you can install it automatically using yum - see the installation page.

The new XML-RPC functionalities are documented in the new XML-RPC manual version 1.3, available as a PDF file from the downloads page.

By experience, I'd say the mosty likely cause of a ServletException is an expired product licence. it may be anything, really, but try checking if the licence has expired.

That's a hack, sure, but a nice one :-)

Okay, I would then try calling this manually (by you) until you find what goes wrong. You can also look at /var/log/asterisk/agi-log.txt for debug.

General Asterisk configuration / Re: Barge function.
« on: May 04, 2007, 18:12:57 »
Hello,
you can - and should - change the dialplan to suit your needs. QueueMetrics is built to be maximally flexible, but I know this sometimes means it does not have One Simple Way to do things  :D

One thisng - I am not sure but maybe it's worth trying - would be to handle all agents through Local/XXX channels and go monitor those through ChanSpy....

Hello Angelo,
I think you should use a numeric code for the Agent, like "1234" so that it logs "Agent/1234" and not "Agent/Angelo".

Also, are you sure that "ZAP/g2/3461" is the number to dial correctly? it seems a bit short to be a PSTN number...

Hello Andy,
not sure i get this correctly: are you trying to listen to records calls or to listen to live calls while they're ongoing?

I have added it to the TODO list, though I cannot make assurances about when this weill be released....
