QueueMetrics installation / Re: Disaster Recovery
« on: September 26, 2007, 08:57:06 »
If you need to do a complete Disaster Recovery backup, you should make sure you have the following components or RPMs:
- QueueMetrics
- Java SDK
- Tomcat (or a servlet container)
- MySQL connector
- Your licence key
- Your web.xml
- Your configuration.properties

When taking a snapshot, consider that the QM webapp is read-only, so if you have the setup plus for conveniency the current web.xml and configuration.properties, that us enough. All live data stays in the database, so the QM database has to be backed-up.

Is it working now?

Yes this is possible: first create a class for those users, with only the keys for the features they need. Make sure that they cannot modify the configuration.

Create the users for your clients to access the system.

Then protect each queue with a different security key, and give each user one or more keys.

Try to login using each user so you are sure you are only seeing what you're supposed to see.  8)

No it would just set those calls to zero lenght if too short.

For your information, this is bug #210.

This is interesting, we'll add it to the TODO list.

As this is a major point of misunderstanding when dealing with a new QueueMetrics installation, we creted a tutorial that explains step-by-step how to set up QueueMetrics in order to make use of the MySQL storage model and of clustering, as well.

The tutorial is called "Understading MySQL storage and clustering" and is immediately available for download on the downloads page, under "Misc Documentation" by the bottom of the page.

This is strange, I'd bet a beer that it was set
Code: [Select]
true in all releases we have done so far - anyway what's nice is that the problem is now fixed.

It looks correct - are you sure you didnt by chance set:

liveclock.enable=false

in configuration.properties?

General Asterisk configuration / Re: Agent names instead of extensions?
« on: September 12, 2007, 08:46:50 »
You define them in Agents Config, by entering the name you want to see and the agent code (eg Agent/103, SIP/213...)

Generally speaking, with standard agents, you know in advance on which queues(s) they work.
If you run Qm 1.4.2 and do a logon on a queue-by-queue basis, use ADDMEMBER and REMOVEMEMBER in your previuos lines to see queue-by-queue logons.

QueueMetrics news / Re: QueueMetrics 1.4.1 out today
« on: September 09, 2007, 13:00:29 »
If that is your setup, you can simply set up two different instances of QM (free version) to monitor each box separately. While all older QueueMetrics versions were single-server (1 QM for 1 Asterisk), QM 1.4 included a free but time-expiring clustering mode. From 1.4.1 onwards, this should be purchased if needed.
I am sorry if this was not very clear - we are revisng the licence page and will surely make it clearer there. Thanks for pointing that out.
