How Do I listen in or record a conversation
« on: May 01, 2011, 14:26:43 »
Hello everyone first let me please state I am a complete  NEWBIE!  :)  I recently had an IVR installed and Queuemetrics (demo) installed for monitoring purposes.   WOW!  what I currently am able to do with this is priceless.

There is only one thing I would like to be able to record a convo when one of my sales reps is on the phone....  and listen to it    or listen in ....   is this possible and if so how?

You can do both - recording is usually enabled at the Asterisk level, and QM is able to retrieve those recordings when you see that call. This is usually easier to do:

http://queuemetrics.com/manuals/QM_UserManual-chunked/ar01s23.html#Listening_to_recorded_calls_using_QM

listening to live calls is also possible, but again this requres integration a the Asterisk level and it is a bit more complex - see e.g. http://queuemetrics.com/manuals/QM_UserManual-chunked/ar01s23.html#Listening_to_live_calls_Unattended_Call_Monitoring

If you look on the forums, you will see that many user suse either (or both) and were successful in setting them up.
