General Asterisk configuration / Asterisk 1.6 - AgentCallbackLogin - Deprecated / removed - agent log on broken

Hello,
Queuemetrics is currently using the application 'AgentCallbackLogin' built into asterisk 1.4, this application has been removed in 1.6.
I see no easy solution to fix this?
Any Suggestions?

Did Queue metrics not see this coming is has been mentioned throughout 1.4s development? (http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+cmd+AgentCallbackLogin)
