QueueMetrics installation / Supported file types for qm_popup_streamAudio.do

My recent installation of QM 1.7.1.3 is up and running, and appears to be working well.
Once I configured the recording properties (so QM could find the recorded files), I discovered that qm_popup_streamAudio.do does not want to play the actual files. It finds them okay, but if I click on the link I receive the error: "Illegal file access: the file is not in the list of allowed files."
I am not 100% sure what that message means.
Bad filesystem permissions?
Invalid extension?
Is there a file list somewhere that gets populated with recording names?
If anyone could let me know where to start debugging this that would be great. I ran through everything I could think of, and no luck so far.
