Asterisk 1.6

illizit:
Hi Guys, I know Asterisk 1.6 is not officially supported however,  we need to run Asterisk 1.6 in order to have SIP over TCP support. (The 1.4 patch was not stable for us).

Everything installed perfect (using RPM's). The issue we have is queuemetrics does not properly log into asterisk. We receive an error in the CLI stating "Authentication failed from 127.0.0.1". I have checked the configs about 50,000 times!! I setup an exact server using Asterisk 1.4 and simply pointed the config to the 1.4 box for testing and it works perfect. As far as I can tell it seems something in the AMI has changed in 1.6. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make it work?

Please let me know, we will be purchasing a license soon.

Thank You!

QueueMetrics:
Which version of Asterisk are you using? are you using a pre-canned distribution, e.g. a TrixBox?

illizit:
I built and compiled Asterisk 1.6.0 myself and then installed FreePBX 2.5 from source.

Thanks

QueueMetrics:
It was actually a bug in QM, we tracked that as #612, and we already fixed it. If you need a beta, just contact our Support staff to get an updated version.

From what we have seen, most Asterisk versions 1.6 have the Originate command broken (up to 1.6.0.3 released last week)  so most functions won't work. Are you really sure you want to use 1.6 for production?  :D

illizit:
I wish I could use 1.4, I have had many issues and I don't want to install anther proxy just to communicate between two servers. (I need SIP over TCP support)

I think 1.6.0 is the only version that does not have that originate issue. Everything after (1.6.1+)  does. At least, that is what I gather from reading some bug reports.
